L’intervento è collocato al di sotto del viadotto progettato da Pier Luigi Nervi. Il grande architetto si è sempre caratterizzato per una particolare plasticizzazione dell’elemento strutturale, come si può vedere dai pilastri che sorreggono corso Francia. E proprio questi sono diventati i protagonisti della nostra proposta di rivalorizzazione della zona verde di fronte all’Auditorium. Elementi strutturali dal carattere solenne e immutabile, essi vengono però ripresentati da noi in chiave effimera e ironica.
L’intenzione, infatti, è quella di ribaltarli e disporli secondo un asse orizzontale: in questo modo essi restano sempre un oggetto scultoreo, ma non più con una funzione strutturale, bensì piuttosto di arredo urbano, un oggetto in grado di innescare un vero e proprio dialogo con l’osservatore, che potrà leggere la scultura dell’ingegner Nervi da un punto di vista rinnovato.

The installation is located beneath the viaduct designed by Pier Luigi Nervi. The great architect was always distinguished by a particular plasticity in his treatment of structural elements, as can be seen in the pillars supporting Corso Francia. These very pillars have become the protagonists of our proposal to revitalise the green area in front of the Auditorium. Structural elements of solemn and unchanging character, they are here reimagined by us in an ephemeral and ironic key.
The intention, in fact, is to overturn them and arrange them along a horizontal axis: in this way they remain sculptural objects, but no longer with a structural function — rather, they become a form of urban furniture, an object capable of sparking a genuine dialogue with the observer, who will be able to experience Engineer Nervi's sculpture from a renewed perspective.
